Taryn + Patrick

When I close my eyes and think about how Maine would be described in a story book, it is pretty much exactly how the setting was on the day of Taryn and Pat’s Wedding. Theres something about this land that inspires a feeling of nostalgia, not for anything concrete but as if some part of you is home. I knew before the day of the wedding that Taryn and Patrick had a special history at Mandala Farm, that is was a place where they found themselves in new ways and also a place where they formed a bond that would carry them through to this day. It became clear as we arrived why, a place quiet enough and inspiring enough that things lost could be found.

In the tall grass, surrounded by trees Taryn and Pat had their first look. Taryn looking like a fairy tale forest princess and Pat waiting steadfast in the tall grass for her.

Under an arbor made by Pat and Taryn using natural resources from the area these two said their vows. I wasn’t expecting Taylor Swift to make a surprise appearance but it was fitting of the twos spontaneous, fun loving, easygoing ways.

In the golden light of the  late August evening Taryn and Pat snuggled, and spent a few quiet moments together. They fit into each-other in such a natural way that it was like we were barely there.

With a playlist ready to get thier guests out of their chairs, the rest of the evening was high energy and lots of laughs and a few happy tears. We loved being a part of these two’s day. We loved getting to meet two truly beautiful humans with such an optimistic view of life and love.
