Kristen + Andrew
There is a feeling here in New England that seems to radiate throughout the region. A feeling that things are rooted, intentional and thought out. Sometimes one is overcome by the salty nostalgia of the sea while at other times its the fairy tale quality of the country sides rolling hills and gardens. On this particular day, there was an ample helping of both. Kristen and Andrew decided that they wanted all the magic that Mount Hope Farms had to offer. And so two of my new favorite human beings stood together with friends and family and said their vows and proceeded to dance the night away!
One of my favorite things about this venue was the room where Kristen put on her dress. There was a moment when her mom and sister were tying the back of her dress and out of the big windows she could see Andrew patiently waiting for their first look. It’s these moments, moments of anticipation and longing that make the time before the ceremony so special and dear to my heart as a wedding photographer.
This earthy ceremony took place on a grassy knoll overlooking the sea, surrounded by overhanging trees and a gentle breeze. The bride and groom said their “I do’s” under a beautiful floral arch way by Laura Jean Floral with their fur baby in tow. It was a great fusion of their two families and their friends, with Andrews uncle as officiant.
All the late summer goodness fell over these two showering them with warmth and vibrant shimmering color. Kristen’s bouquet from Laura Jean Floral was jaw dropping as was her Anna Campbell dress but nothing distracted from how stunning Kristen is and was on this day. She is one of those brides that radiates something beyond beauty, something sort of just glows from the inside out of her! Together with Andrew looking dashing in a tux from The Black Tux the pair seemed to effortlessly float through their day, stopping frequently to actually enjoy the events unfolding.
I have to say that this wedding might take the cake for best dancing portion of the night. I literally have never been to a wedding where pretty much every single guest was dancing with such commitment and zeal! It was crazy fun and a perfect way to end the evening!
